Athens

So I have learned that the British still have manners and have nice and even temperaments. I have also learned that the food in England is really good. I learned that the Germans are fun-loving and have enormous appetites for sausage and beer. They are quite friendly. Nobody seems to know what happened there between 1933 and 1946.

Today we got in very early from our red eye and were exhausted so we slepped for two hours and went into the Plaka where everything was open and busy and crowded. We wandered through the alleys of shops in the blistering heat and then sat down to a lovely dinner of Greek salad and Spanikopita under a misting fan. Just like the ones we need for our tennis courts. We listened to music, ate and watched the world go by. Now for my second shower of the day and to bed early, maybe a beach day tomorrow. We will be here a week so there is plenty of time to see everything. Besides, we alreadty have done so on previous trips.
