Torremolinos by Night
Well, here I am, sitting in the lobby of another hotel because our internet is still down, so I dragged the computer to the hotel down the street before I forget everything. We have been running around like two crazies trying to see and do everything. It's funny but I don't know which country I am in. They speak every language but Spanish. So many tourists, so many languages. There are lots of older people here. I don't consider myself old, so I think they are all ancients. Sometimes I think I am in one giant, multi-lingual rest home.
Today was gorgeous. The temperature was 82 degrees but it was still too cold to go into the Med and the pool is not heated. Again, we walked our feet off, up and down the hills, to and from the Mercadillo (flea market).
Thlee apartment is good; small but adequate. The shower is great. We have air conditioning but don't need it since it cools off and we open the slider and listen to the sound of the waves all night.
Everyone here smokes and drinks all day. Whenever I look into restaurants I see clouds of smoke floating above beer bottles. And they eat at crazy times. Breakfast is at the usual time, and very excellent. We don't eat lunch, but everyone else seems to eat a big meal at about 2:30, chewing through clouds of smoke. Then they snack at about 9 p.m. through more clouds of smoke and clinking beer bottles. Not my style but it seems to make them happy.
I will try to send some photos. Till next time.

Good Morning from Torremolinos
It´s a hot Thursday morning here in Torremolinos. The beach is looking better and better. We went to the Street Market, Mercadillo, this morning. It was a combination of Sample Road, Carnival Flea Markets and a K Mart blue light special. It was held in the parking lot of the bullfight ring. No bull, fortunately...only the sellers.
Yesterday we went to Mijas, one of the White Villages, set high in the hills overlooking the Med. It was spectacular. Photos to follow. I am still using public compuuers as the Internet connection is still down in our hotel. Anyway, we had tapas for lunch which were delicious and watched an outdoor flamenco show. Unfortunately, we went on the bus with the old farts and would have liked to stay longer but they had to go back to take their naps. Bummer!
Last night we took one of our marathon walks along the Paseo Maritimo, along the shores of the Med. There was a lovely breeze and it was delightful.
Still looking for the perfect pair of shoes! Love to all.

Greetings from Torremolinos, Spain
The weather is great. Just like La Jolla. We walked about six miles today. We decided not to associate with anyone from the tour group because they are a bunch of old farts who can't move themselves and ask endless stupid questions. If we ever get to that point we will kill each other!
Yesterday I had a lesson on how to use castanets. I nearly failed because my fingers are so uncoordinated. It was fun and I got a round of applause anyway.
The day before that we took a tour of Malaga and went to the bull ring and had a discussion with a cute young bullfighter. Grusome sport but cute matadores!
We also went to Granada on a tour of the Alhambra, which was beautiful and exhausting. You would not believe this, but right now I am in a lobby of another hotel listening to Bingo in Spanish, German and French! I think I am in the twilight zone.
We're having fun here. The food is great, the Spanish people are great-very friendly and love the fact that we speak to them in their own language.
As soon as our internet connection is up and running in our hotel I will send photos. Right now I am so tired I can hardly see straight so I am not really sure what I am saying. I think the old farts are getting to me. Till next time. Love to all from the frustrated flamenco dancer.
